Wheatgrass powder

A finely ground powder made from young wheatgrass – high in fibre, green in colour and with a mild, grassy flavour. Available in organic and conventional varieties.

The powder is produced by drying and then finely grinding fresh wheatgrass. It is characterised by a high fibre and plant protein content, supplemented by natural levels of vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll. The green colour and the slightly sweet, grassy aroma are retained in the final product.

Typical applications include functional foods, smoothie ingredients, powdered drinks, dietary supplements and special-purpose food formulations. Wheatgrass powder is also used in baked goods, muesli and energy bars as a natural source of colour and nutrients.
