Pumpkin seed oil (virgin)
Pumpkin seed oil is made from the seeds of the oil pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo), which are first roasted and then pressed. Its production has a long tradition, particularly in Styria, where the oil is considered a regional speciality.

This oil, with its dark green sheen, is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins such as A, B, C and E. It also provides biotin and minerals. It is characterised by its intense aroma and nutty flavour, which result from the roasting of the kernels.
In the food industry, pumpkin seed oil is mainly used in cold dishes – for example, as a salad dressing, to enhance soups, or as an ingredient in desserts. It is also used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, for example in skincare products.
