Camelina oil is obtained by gentle cold-pressing the seeds of the camelina plant. This pale yellow to golden yellow oil is characterised by its natural content of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Due to its fatty acid profile, it is a nutritionally valuable ingredient in animal feed production.

In der Nutztierfütterung wird Leindotteröl vor allem als Energiequelle, zur Aufwertung von Fettprofilen oder zur Verbesserung der Futterakzeptanz eingesetzt. Es lässt sich gut mit anderen Futterölen kombinieren und in flüssige oder feste Futtermittelrezepturen integrieren.
