Lupin seeds

Lupins belong to the legume family and produce hairy pods containing several seeds. As legumes, they fix nitrogen in the soil, thereby contributing to sustainable agriculture.

(organic) lupines

The seeds are characterised by a particularly high protein content, combined with low levels of carbohydrates and fat. They provide fibre and minerals, making them a nutrient-rich supplement. In sweet lupins, bitter compounds are largely reduced, which makes them easier to use in food products.

Lupin seeds are used as animal feed and can be used as a substitute for soya in the diet. In the food industry, they are processed into drinks, fermented products, flours or baking ingredients, and are also used in roasted or pickled form.
