The pea protein isolate is extracted from yellow shelling peas using a wet chemical process. It provides a highly pure protein with a virtually complete amino acid profile – particularly rich in arginine, lysine and iron. Its low residual fat and carbohydrate content makes it suitable for low-carb or diet products. The isolate is heat-stable, disperses well and has a subtle flavour, making it highly versatile – for example, in vegan shakes, smoothies and baked goods, or as a functional ingredient in meat alternatives and textured products.
