Plant-based protein from an upcycled by-product of beer production – high in protein, functional and versatile.

The barley protein is extracted from brewers’ grains, a by-product of beer production. A purely mechanical upcycling process produces a fine, beige-coloured powder with a protein content of around 45 %. It also contains around 31 % dietary fibre and is naturally rich in amino acids, vitamins and minerals. The product contains gluten but is GMO-free and complies with current food safety regulations in the EU and Switzerland.
Typical applications include protein-enriched baked goods, bars, vegan or vegetarian meat alternatives, and the snack and dietary supplement sectors. Barley protein is easy to process, binds water and fat, and helps to ensure a stable product texture.
