Barley fibre
A plant-based fibre ingredient made from upcycled brewers’ grains – containing approximately 69% fibre. Sustainable, highly nutritious and versatile, suitable for use in meat alternatives, baked goods or confectionery.

Barley fibre is produced from a by-product of beer production – known as spent grain – and is processed mechanically. The beige, powdery product is rich in insoluble fibre as well as minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, manganese and zinc. It is produced locally within the DACH region and represents a particularly resource-efficient upcycling process.
This fibre is ideal for specifically increasing the fibre content of a wide variety of recipes. Typical applications include meat alternatives, baked goods, doughs, confectionery, bars, snacks and convenience products. The Nutri-Score of many products can also be improved by using it.
