The chickpea protein is mechanically concentrated from European chickpeas. It is a versatile plant-based protein with a balanced amino acid profile and high-quality protein. The powder has a fine particle size of around 150 µm, a light brown colour and a clean, neutral taste. Functionally, it offers excellent solubility and dispersibility, low viscosity and stable emulsification properties. With a PDCAAS of 0.88, a content of essential amino acids of 39% and 19% BCAAs, it is ideally suited for protein-optimised applications in ready-to-drink (RTD) shakes, protein waters, bars, snacks, milk alternatives, as well as baked goods and savoury products.
