Potato protein is produced as a by-product of potato starch extraction. The protein is isolated using a wet chemical process and is characterised by a virtually complete amino acid profile and high digestibility. Due to its natural solanine content, this variant is primarily intended for use in animal feed – for example, for pets and farm animals.
