Fava bean starch
A fine flour with a pale white colour, a mild legume flavour and a creamy texture. Versatile and suitable for use in baked goods, snacks and processed foods.

Fava bean starch contains complex carbohydrates, approximately 67% starch, moderate amounts of protein (approximately 15%) and dietary fibre (approximately 4%). It is rich in minerals such as iron and potassium, gluten-free and low in saturated fatty acids. Thanks to its emulsifying properties and strong moisture-binding capacity, it enhances the stability of numerous recipes.
Typical uses include gluten-free baked goods, soups, ready meals and snacks. It is a particularly suitable ingredient when texture, stability and a mild legume flavour are required. As an alternative, we also offer traditional fava bean flour.
