Hemp flour is produced by grinding partially de-oiled hemp seeds that have been cold-pressed. Depending on the variety, the seeds come from hulled or unhulled hemp grains. The resulting flour is natural, greenish in colour and contains valuable omega fatty acids, dietary fibre and bioactive plant compounds. It is suitable as an ingredient in bread, pasta, muesli mixes or dough – particularly in vegan or protein-rich diets. Hemp flour is also a functional alternative to cereal flours for low-carb applications.
