Oat flour is made from hulled oats. It is available as wholemeal oat flour or light oat flour. It has a particularly mild flavour, a fine texture and adds a subtle nutty note to baked goods and other dishes. As well as high-quality carbohydrates, it provides significant amounts of fibre, zinc, iron, biotin and B vitamins. Oat flour is suitable for breads, rolls, biscuits or cookies; it can be combined with other flours or used as a base in porridges and bowls.
