Description (organic) fava bean flour/grist:
Fava bean, also called field bean or coast bean, is one of the earliest crops cultivated by humans. The legume has an erect stem with three-pair leaflets, white wing flowers and thick green bean pods with several kidney-shaped pods, which are arranged in rows. Especially the high content of proteins and starch distinguishes the common bean. The (organic) fava bean flour obtained by grinding has a protein content of 30%. The flour can be used to enrich proteins in bakery products, common uses include toast and white bread.
We also offer a starch-enriched fava bean flour. You can find more about it here.
