Description (organic) poppy seed flour:
Poppy is a herbaceous poisonous plant with white to purple flowers and spherical capsule fruits. These contain hundreds of poppy seeds with a round, very small and dark blue appearance. They contain a lot of oil and have a pleasant nutty fragrance. Poppy seeds are among the most calcium-rich foods and are rich in B vitamins. (Organic) poppy seed flour is either obtained by grinding the part-oiled poppy seeds and is a by-product of poppy seed oil production, or it is produced in the full-fat version from the ground whole poppy seeds.
Poppy seed flour can be used in both variants for poppy seed cakes and fillings. In the food industry, it is used in desserts and pastries, among other things.
