Description (organic) pea fiber:
The pea, like lentils or beans, belongs to the category of legumes. Usually only the fruit is used in cooking, but the shell can also be used. To obtain (organic) pea fiber, these pea shells are finely ground and thus have a high fiber content. This is estimated at 80%, which is mainly insoluble fiber. This promotes digestion.
To improve the fiber balance of a dish, pea fibers can always be added to the food or drink. However, they are particularly often used as an ingredient in soups or sauces. It is also popular in muesli, pasta or in bread and baking.
