The (organic) sunflower protein is the partially deoiled by-product of the cold pressing of sunflower oil. If hulled seeds are used for this purpose, the protein-rich product is produced as a residue. It has a protein content of approx. 45%. Through further processing steps, an isolate can be produced.
The product is used for protein enrichment of food. It is also important as an ingredient in vegan and vegetarian diets. Due to its light color and neutral taste, it is a very versatile ingredient for baked goods, pasta, ready meals, creams, dairy products, etc.
