Description (organic) peanut flour/protein:
The (organic) peanut protein is produced by partial de-oiling of peanuts. These originally come from South America. The legume was already a valuable foodstuff in Inca times. The plant produces seeds in the soil. After harvesting the farmers shell the peanuts. Afterwards the peanuts are usually blanched before processing. Roasting is also possible. Then an oil-press mechanically deoiles the seeds. This produces the cold-pressed oil and the press cake. This is then ground into protein. The protein supplies essential and non-essential amino acids in equal parts. The protein content is approx. 45-50%. The product also provides a pleasant nutty aroma. Therefore, it often serves the purpose of flavour development. It is an interesting ingredient for bakery products, smoothies, shakes, sweets, sports food etc.
